technique + improvisation
During his studies Iskaković worked with different choreographers, improvisers and teachers of various dance techniques. (Francesco Scavetta, Liat Waysbort, Sara Wiktorowicz, Aleksandra Janeva Imfeld, Katie Duck ect...)
The first part of the class will consist of various movement exercises. This will give a foundation for a movement vocabulary and quality that will be used in improvisational practice and dance choreography during the rest of the class.

DENUDED WORKSHOP
In three year long study (from 2013 till 2016) Bruno Isaković developed his work Denuded. After first creating a solo for himself he passed his research to other performers, creating a solo performance for them. This process opened possibility for a duet and after that to creation of ensemble production with 11 people. That intensive study took Denuded trough stages of meticulous defining of a movement method, a language with which body can communicate with breath and physical tension, its release and dynamical relation to stillness and to other performers or members of audience. While set up entirely in silence performance is improvised, fragile and guided by breath only. Not having specific narrative goal Denuded exists in constant transformation, only suggesting and allowing different meanings to be shifted to unexpected consequences.

During the workshop participants immerse in deep study of their breath, physical tension and release and correlation of these organic elements to body alignment. Interconnected structure of breath and body tension/release permeates the body in each moment. Breathing is a starting point and trough the play of its direction and extremes the body expands towards weight shifts, tensions, it's extremes, leaps and falls. Movement quality is a result of a pure relationship between breathing and every consequent physical extreme and continues in a gradation of their interdependence. Physical tensions accentuated to their extremes, halted in suspension of breathing in or in breathing out and transformed repeatedly into states of relaxation creates the loop of constant transformations and the necessity of the body to relax, reactivate and be conscious.

Workshop will develop trough different phases of exercises.

We will first start with the basics. Breath exercises will involve conscience of how we breath and how we can use and abuse our breath to release unnecessary body tensions while intensifying others to extreme. We are going to work on neutral versus controlled breath and how that relates to intensity, rhythm and dynamics of our breathing. Exploring breathing in all areas of lungs we will remind our bodies of correlation of breath and movement. We are going to observe how body tensions can happen as a result of posture alignments. What does absolute inhale/exhale or holding of the breath do to our body and how we can use this to our movement advantage. Allowing alignment shifts to happen from breathing body can organically give in to its weight and use breath as a guide. So we will also focus on breath guided movement: waiting for expansion of lungs and ribs from which the movement can follow to its natural development.

After we shook our habits workshop will develop towards "cross the floor" exercises and improvisations. Working in couples and groups we will explore these principles in communication with other bodies. And from there we gonna venture further towards extremes, leaps and falls hopefully loosing our selfs and discovering new moving body.
