SONYA LEVIN

RUSSIA

Sonya graduated from Contemporary Dance School of Aleksandr Shishkin (Moscow), studied at Contemporary Dance School of Nikolay Ogrizkkov (contemporary dance & repertory) & School of Dramatic Art of Anatoliy Vasil’ev (buto dance, under the guidance of Min Tanaka, Japan). Also Sonya has taken a lot of classes of european, american & russian teachers of contemporary dance & theatre disciplines.

Sonya has danced in performances of Nikolay Ogrizkov, dance theatre
Na.sH, dance company BDDC; dance company Po.V.S.Tanze, Monkey Production media dance company.

Sonya has created her own solo pieces: "ЗТМ" (2008), "The superman's last supper" (2009), for the performance "A Bozo On A Background" (Theatre.DOC, 2008) she made the choreography.

The aim of this class is achieving universal control over your body.
This universality is going to be achieved through studying movement techniques, different and incompatible at first sight. However, taking the essential principles of each of them we can develop our presence in the moment of movement in more detail. It will help us feel the capacity of the body in an integral way, and find the technique that suits you best.
