JOSE LIMON TECHNIQUE
The basis of the class is Jose Limon technique with elements of other directions of contemporary dance. It allows, in my opinion, to more deeply and effectively develop the dancer’s skills: expression, articulation, balance, risk, musicality, skills of interaction with the space and the floor in conditions of force of gravity.
The class starts with exercises on the floor directed to release joints and aligning the body. Further exercises are dedicated to the states of balance and off balance, using gravity as a source of movement, working with the focus and achieving the precision of gesture in space. Every class will include dance variations based on broad dynamic shifts and active changes of level and direction.
